TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR PROPERTY IN GREECE
With the project “photovoltaics on roof tops” of the Greek Ministry of Development, every citizen can install on their roof tops a small energy production unit to support the energy needs of the household and/or sell the produced power to the Greek Electricity Service (Δ.Ε.Η).
MNIMIZE THE ELECTRICITY BILL AND GAIN PROFIT
The dual benefit of the investment, which does not exceed the period of 6 years, is significant both for individual profit and for the conservation and protection of the environment. All that is required, is an application to the local Electricity Service (Δ.Ε.Η) and within a short period of time the house owner can install photovoltaic systems on their roof top powered up to 10 KW. The Electricity Service will buy the produced electric energy at the very favorable price of 0,55 euros per KWH, a price 5 times higher than the one charged to every house for consumption.
For the electric energy that every solar energy producer distributes to the electricity network, Δ.Ε.Η. will make an accounting clearing according to the electric energy consumed for the household needs. The excess produced energy will be compensatingly bought by Δ.Ε.Η. Τhe installation of pv systems unit does not only refer to building roof tops but on stretches of land less than 4 acres. The cost per installed KW ranges between 4.000 and 5.000 euros. The price of every KWH bought by the Electricity Service (Δ.Ε.Η.) is 0,55 euros, guaranteed for 25 years with price index update. The value of possibly consumed energy will be extracted from the selling price of produced energy to the network. A double counter will be installed to count the produced energy of the solar pv unit and of the small absorbed energy by the inverter during the night and any accompanying equipment. This cost does not exceed the price of 500 euros paid by the house owner/energy producer. An average household (electrical appliances and lights) consumes 5.000 KWH on average per year and pays 0,12 euros per KWH. That is, they have to pay: 5.000 * 0,12= 600 euros for consumed electricity per year.
SIGNIFICANT PROFIT
Each KW produces on average 1.300 KWH per year with the compensation of 0,55 euros. As the following example depicts, if someone installs a 5 KW unit on a roof top of 80m2 gains an annual benefit: 5 KW * 1.300 KWH * 0,55= 3.575 euros. Accordingly, for 10 KW on 100m2 roof top the annual profit is: 10 KW* 1.300 KWH *0.55= 7.150 euros.
The depreciation of the investment is achieved in 5 to 6 years and you no longer have to worry about paying any service bills while not in Greece and at the same time you contribute to the protection of the environment by using renewable sources of energy. This project is applicable for pv roof top units up to 10 KW of a building throughout Greece, with the exception of the non connected islands. A required prerequisite is an existing electricity connection to the Electricity Service (Δ.Ε.Η) and the existence of a solar heater on the roof top.
SELLING ELECTRICITY TO Δ.Ε.Η
No special license is required for the connection and selling power to Δ.Ε.Η. besides applying to the local Δ.Ε.Η. and signing two contracts, one for the installation of the second counter and one for selling the energy respectively.
However, a permit from the Urban Planning Service is needed in order to execute small scale works on the building roof top. With a small deposit, our company undertakes the project from stage one to its’ completion and the payment is due at the time of connection to the Electricity Service (Δ.Ε.Η)
